About Willisburg Christian Church

Willisburg Christian Church is a dynamic Independent Christian church located in Willisburg, Kentucky. We may have stained glass windows and a steeple, but our worship is dynamic, our messages are relevant, and our church family is active. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission is very simple: We are One Church, Moving in One Direction, Focused on One Person = Jesus. That means we’re not about a building or some complicated religious system, but about helping people from all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from knowing and serving Jesus Christ.

We invite you to come and check us out this Sunday for our worship service. We know that going to a new church can be intimidating, so we try to do things in a way where you’ll feel welcome and not like an outsider. When you come, you can participate or just sit back and observe. You’ll discover a warm atmosphere, practical teaching from God's Word and lots of friendly people pursuing God together. And with childcare and classes for all ages, your family will love it too!

God made a promise in the Bible that if we seek after Him, we’ll find Him. You are a valued part of God’s creation and His deep desire is to be in a relationship with you. So come and join us as we pursue God together!

One church

We are joined together through our shared surrender to Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  Therefore, we emphasize the word "family" around here.  That means we seek to be a benefit to each other, serve with each other, and care for each other, because that's what family does!

We can't be distracted from the mission of Jesus.  In Matthew 28:19 Jesus gave us His last command, which is our first priority, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you."  We strive to offer the message of God's saving grace and then teach how that grace motivates us to GO and make more disciples!

Focused on One Person = Jesus

Our goal is revealing the life of Jesus!  We do that by 1) teaching honestly and truthfully from the Scriptures 2) Walking as Jesus walked (1 John 2:6) 3) Having the attitude of Jesus through being His servants.  (Philippians 2:5-8)
