Our leadership combines Elders, Deacons, and a ministry staff to lead and serve alongside the members of WCC.
Lance Ladd
Minister
Lance has been serving WCC as the preaching minister since August of 2015. You will find Lance preaching on Sunday's, teaching classes on Tuesday's and Wednesday's and joining a variety of ministry teams to serve the church. He and his wife, Gwen, met at Cincinnati Christian University and were married in 1994. They have 2 grown daughters who live in Texas and South Carolina. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and all things sports (Reds, Bengals and UK). His favorite verse is Ephesians 5:1, "Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children."
Brian Compton
Student Minister
Brain has been serving WCC as the Student Minister since 2018. He has attended Ohio Christian University and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Ministry and Bible at Louisville Bible College. Brian has a passion for the Gospel and for seeing it transform the lives of students. His favorite Scripture verse is Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.”
Whitney Bowen
Worship and Technology Director
Whitney has been a part of WCC from birth. Her Dad was the minister here till his passing in 2015. She started leading worship in 2013 and joined the staff in 2025. Her full time job is teaching middle school science. She also serves as one of our 180 youth sponsors. She is an avid Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Reds, and Kentucky Wildcats fan. Her favorite Bible passage is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
Alyson Bowen
Office Manager
Alyson accepted the call to come to Willisburg along with her husband Greg in 1985. Since then she's been involved in a variety of ministries including youth and music. She has been serving as office manager at WCC since 2016. She is a retired teacher and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite Bible verse is Jude 24, "Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault."
